Soldier and Kitten Print

This a portrait of the fictional main characters of the feature screenplay I wrote for an animated feature series. The idea came from a story my grandmother told me about her first kiss. As the American soldier were liberating Paris and she shared a first kiss with a soldier. From here sparked the "Love at War" story. The tale is about a young man who is sent abroad to fight a war against an army of evil wolf creatures in the land of Europa. In his travel he meets a calico kitten that will never leave his side. I work mainly with watercolors, this one was mounted on a wooden board. These illustrations are part of creating an entire world, characters and a story along with it.
