This work was created during a plein air on painting in Poland. Curator of the open-air is the world's most famous artist Andrzej Strumilo. He asked the theme: Spirits of the place. The place it is on the river and among the forests has a long and interesting history. There are many such places on the Earth, and all of them are united by one - Spirits of a place. In my work I wanted to show how the Spirits of the place live both in the daytime and at night, so I have a series of two works. The image of a boat that has such an adaptation to make sounds that are reflected and amazes our imagination, makes us imagine Spirits of space. I want my work to remind people that we are not alone on Earth - there is a lot of wonderful and unknown around us, it is always there, we just need to listen carefully to the reflection of sounds.

From student years, I have being interested in the philosophy of Zen Buddhism. Deep dive into the essence and phenomena of Things, the absolute focus on the process, the principle of meditation (always and everywhere), subtle sense in everything that surrounds us, contemplation… Ther are properties of Zen wich helped me find my way, combining the two basic principles: minimum means - a maximum of imagery. Study the traditional arts of Japan, as well as the practice of karate, haikku, calligraphy, playing the Japanese bamboo flute Shakuhachi are helping on my creative way. Immersing myself in the true essence of things, avoiding the hustle and hurry make the method in my art minimalist and extremely precise. This working principle can be traced in all areas of my artistic activity in the last 25 years: calligraphy, painting, ceramics, design. In this way there is no limit. Every day is another step on the path of knowledge of own nature, giving new impulse own expression.
