ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was created under the inspiration of Flamenco and the musical culture of southern Spain. I hope that the public feels, through this work, a taste of my passion for Spanish music, especially Flamenco. I used acrylic painting and collage to give depth to the shapes of the instrument and the musician, seeking a mix of these figures, but highlighting them.

Vicente Magalhães is a Brazilian visual artist born into a musical family. Early contact with classical music allowed him to become deeply immersed in a world of great composers and complex compositions, training his ear even in childhood. In addition to classical music, MPB and Jazz were also very present in his world. Since 2011, Vicente has been researching Jazz, improvisation, lines and sounds in general. In a direct way, he seeks to represent sounds and their effects on us. A dialogue of many voices, arising from the movement of lines, shapes, and textures of sound and noises present in the environment.
