ABOUT THE ARTWORK
During the lockdownI portray inspiring dogs I encounter when I walk my own dog. I like this Frisian Stabij (or "Stabijhoun"), an original Dutch breed, very much. I have depicted him as I see him. He looks proudly past you and yet the alert look in his eyes makes you think that he has everything under control. I portrayed him with his proud posture, his hair flapping in the wind and a little panting from the fast running. The background suggests he's out in the field, maybe hunting with his boss. Because in addition to a farmyard dog, the Stabij is also a good hunting dog.
