ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Stone shed in a lavender field It's almost the cliché image of Provence. A shed for workers' tools, a field of lavender and the cypress, an emblematic tree from Provence to Tuscany. But I didn't do it on purpose. All around there is plenty of this kind of shed in the fields where I will set up my easel to paint. They were once used to shelter tools and sometimes even workers who came from afar on foot and stayed in the fields for a few days, until the end of the harvest. My painting is devoted either to real or to imaginary themes because I am always sailing between both of them. I know the starting point but never the final destination. Painting drives me.
