ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My inspiration was Rabindranath Tagore.. Indian poet, philosopher and song-writer.. one of his short story.. where a little girl was forced to get married, and leave his father's house and travel with a boat to her new world. When I read those lines I imagined the scene.. like that. the background of this painting is all illusion.. it does not exist.. it exists.. in the little girl's imagination. The main figure is the Sun which shines at the night's sky, surrounded with the stars.. the Sun shining at night.. it is impossible as her future will not be amazing.. and the only good thing happening in her life is this travel with a boat.. until she meets her harsh reality.
