The simple act of drinking tea with a friend is my favourite way of celebrating myself and the people I treasure. Sharing my thoughts and listening to others is an experience that affects my soul and mind. By sharing, I sometimes catch myself learning something new about myself. And yet, in most paintings two women talking only suggests an active gossip session. This painting is my take on a simple evening spent with a friend. The cups a painted in white so one can imagine their favourite drink because we’re not limited to being tea drinking ladies. Some nights require something stronger. So, when you first saw this painting, what did you think they were talking about? Who did you picture sitting with?
