Instagram: I had the good fortune to travel all across the Middle East and Europe, meeting people from various walks of life. My name is Mahmood Noor Zafar, I was born in 1956 in Peshawar, Pakistan, and I currently live in London. I have been able to convey my multicultural ideas and engage with many arts and genres because of my ability to speak, read, and write German, English, and Urdu at a native level. My mother's enthusiasm for my artistic ability inspired me to begin my creative path and she gave me a lot of her wisdom and intuition in the process. Following that passion throughout my life, with a particular focus on Islamic art and culture, made me realise that there were philosophical and cultural limitations that prevented me from having a more direct relationship with my creative side. To overcome this, it naturally followed that dedicating my full attention to my work satiated my aspiration. Islam and nature are my sources of inspiration. The countless ways to include calligraphy in a drawing genuinely astound me. I've had the good fortune to visit numerous locations and marvel at amazing mosques and natural wonders all over the world.
