Image 12, THE ILLUSTRATED ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MADE-UP NATURE. In which all the plants and animals that I discovered during the fictitious trip I took in the pandemic of two thousand and twenty are described and depicted in the original colours and in which report is made of the area that I have visited. These four herbs are only found in swampy areas. The three I have pictured on the left are all edible although they have a bitter taste. The left herb has a stem reminiscent of the cucumber. The trunk is not edible, but the plant produces a large smooth fruit that grows on the ground like a melon and is brown in color. It is particularly tasty when it is ripe. The taste can best be compared to that of the papaya, but is slightly more acidic and has a strong smell. The fruit ripens in the autumn and can be eaten in October.
