Inspired by Gender equality, what is stereotypical about males and what actually exists in females, from a far point perspective its a female portrait with no lips, only one eye and the other is the guitar depicting musical element, symbolizing women sometimes see a vision diluted by emotions, and the weight above the man's head, is an explicit depiction to how women host a male side to them, lifting weights silently and having their own fantasies concealed deep down the right corner of the artwork, yet the woman is depicted in a way to seem distant, for its more of a soul reflection. From a different perspective it could be a confrontation between an intuitive woman, seeing through the guarded man through her 3rd eye, being allocated where brain is, using her inner complexities as a woman, with compassion demonstrated in musical notes, depicting the emotional side to women while trying to analyze guarded men. I have received many interpretations to how this artwork is viewed but these two are the closest to how I feel.

Born in 1988, Doaa Aladdin is a Cairo-based Egyptian artist and designer, whose practice spans the medium of painting, graphic design, assemblages and installation. Her mixed media paintings and assemblage explore the realms of memory, of personal trauma, Near Death Experience (NDE), what lies beyond life and the consequent separation anxieties. Stricken as a child by personal losses, Aladdin’s first paintings as a child happened in a closet, where she perceived she could hide from consecutive separations. As her practice developed as a student, and as well as after attaining a BFA in graphic design from the German University in Cairo in 2013, Aladdin draws inspiration from extreme environments of pressure, stress and physical challenge, while conceptually she is driven by formal and informal social controls that exert and express injustice and lack of equality between strata of the one culture.
