Beauty, contemplativeness and functionality can be achieved through any artistic position. But most interior designers prefer to incorporate abstract art when creating a modern space. Viewers tend to first interpret objective figurative artwork according to its subject matter. If that subject matter seems more compelling than the environment itself, the artwork can become a distraction rather than an enhancement. Abstract art is therefore far more versatile. Not only could a work like "THE FIRST WORLD" by Ruslan Luchko potentially enhance a variety of different environments; it also versatile within a given space. It can be the focal point if necessary, or it can be utilized in a way that its formal qualities alone converse with the space, allowing viewers to contemplate the art within the larger context of the environment.

Ruslan Luchko prefers painting and glass in his art, and often refers to the other artistic practices such as performance, media art, and installation. His work is based on the ideas of determinism and human freedom, often taking on connotations of a distorted human body, raising the issue of dependence on the material world. Anti-retinal method of depiction is the main motive for the creation and illumination of the work concepts. A special attitude towards artistic glass technology, which is almost the main medium in the artist’s work, can be explained by the process of the piece’s production, which is a kind of performance art, while the manufactured piece of art is just its documentation. He takes a similar approach to pictorial works.
