This painting was made during the most miracle time I’ve ever had — precious days of expecting a baby... I’ve put all my love and tenderness into it, because I felt overflowing with fondness to everything I’ve touched... Because Lilac is so beautiful and it smells so fabulously it became my favorite flower since I saw it for the first time when I was a child! So now you can understand why I’ve chosen particularly Lilac for that painting — for me it is the symbol of childhood and calmness, peace and serenity forevermore...
