Painting: Acrylic, Paint on Canvas.
For some time I had an idea of painting a large tree. I was shy and excited about it. What would it look like? What technique will I use? I kept asking myself questions and the project seemed to be being postponed over and over.
The other morning, literally a few seconds before opening my eyes to a new morning, the whole painting came to me in the form a fully formed picture. It flashed in front of my closed eyes, then I woke up.
Then I knew what to paint, and how to paint it. So easy!
I used a square canvas 80 x 80 cms, which gives the feeling of a small tree wishing to grow big and always outside the box. You can tell this will be a huge tree by the out-of-proportion size of the trunk. There's so much vitality that we know this tree will reach full expression of its greatness.
That's the metaphor of life here, if you wish.
We have in potentiality all the greatness we can dream of. So we dream it, then we push forward and we make it happen.
I'd love you to have this painting in this spring time because that green is so plesantly fresh, soothing and inspiring!
Having this canvas on your wall will make staying indoors more enjoyable and it will send waves of encouragement to remember taking daily walks to the outdoors, where nature is green and alive is important.
The technique is pretty wild! But it all matches perfectly together.
Although, only the buyer will know from me the details of the mixed media used, this canvas is mainly made with acrylics paints.
If you are interested in more details, please ask the curators or me and more info will be provided gladly.
