ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I sit and draw and ideas appear on the paper, subconscious memories of places I have been or seen are brought to life and naturally flow into one another. What I draw inspires and excites me and I can't wait for the next part to appear but sometimes I have to be patient and wait for the right idea, the face just appeared in the tree, it was not intentional. I hope viewers find the painting interesting, thoughtful and relaxing. I paint in watercolour on good quality paper because it is comfortable for me and I can get the results I am after. This style of painting and subject matter is spontaneous and cannot be forced it happens naturally when the time is right.
