A hunter focuses on a specific fragment of the outer world. When his action is successful it means the end of other life, in a way the end of the world. When he kills the other life he also in a way kills himself. Is the beauty of reality deprived of something? What is lost, what is gained?

It may seem strange and unconvincing but the ideas of my paintings come to my mind as a sort of vague visions. Understanding of their meanings comes when a painting is finished. Undoubtedly visual art refers in a way to the realm around us. We call the realm “reality”. On two-dimensional surface of a canvas we create a kind of illusion. However the three-dimensional space we perceive is a kind of illusion as well. So perhaps under the skin of reality, both in art and reality, is another level of hidden world. In my art I shift between figurative shapes and abstract ones. By inquiring things and forms taken from our common life I try to go as deep as possible to recognize the level of unknown. I want to see the limits of recognition and to ask if we may exceed our ordinary bounds to go beyond the way we are used to seeing things. Art, besides science, is probably the most important human activity. I believe in art naively and desperately. Website:
