The Imprisoned Nature, is the sad tale of how Earth has been imprisoned by the prisoners themselves. The painting depicts the flora held behind the bars by the humans. The arch style specifically draws reference to the historical times. The bars seem to not belong to the arched window and thus depict how the arch which was once used to enjoy the nature has been converted into a prison by the selfishness of man! How nature which was once a muse has ceased to exist just as a prisoner at the hands of ungrateful humans.
