ABOUT THE ARTWORK
‘The Good Shepherd’ or ‘The Lost Sheep is Found.’ Inspired by various scriptures, this diptych I painted represents us in our lives, when we are lost, far from God, troubled and under attack... however, God can rescue us from all our troubles when we call to him. Like a shepherd rescuing a lost sheep, Jesus rescues us, because he loves us; “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?” Jesus Christ (Luke 15:4) The original painting is acrylic, with gold and both parts are signed, strung, varnished and ready to hang. The diptych took eight months to paint. Hung as a diptych, allowing 1cm between the canvasses, the Artwork measures 61cm wide, 40cm high and 3.7cm deep. (Each Canvas measures 30cm wide, 40cm high and 3.7cm deep.)
