An expressive abstract piece inspired by historic sites on the London skyline. Synopsis: An abstract interpretation of the London Shard skyline at night. Very textured with subtle dark undertones to capture the evening skyline. Incorporating metallic silver aspects to reflect the significant building within the dominant London landscape. The Shard (also referred to as the Shard of Glass) is an 87-storey skyscraper in London that forms part of the London Bridge Quarter development. The Shard's construction began in March 2009 and the practical completion was achieved in November 2012. Standing approximately 306 meters high the Shard is currently the tallest building in the European Union. Designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. The artwork combines acrylics and metal foils to create reflective textures and tones. Oliver Watt - British Contemporary Artist. Oliver Watt’s Contemporary Fine Art is internationally collected.
