ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This Piece was inspired by Consistency. I didn't feel like making it, I had already completed a study of 6 portraits and was done with the entire study. But out of habit from creating all of the pieces in the study, I went back to make this one - the 7th in the study. So, this piece represents the value of Consistency within the work. My hope is to inspire my viewers with color and light, to find their own inner light & compass and shine it out into the world, sharing their gifts for the evolution of humanity... “ Just as one candle lights another and can light thousands of other candles, so one heart illuminates another heart and can illuminate thousands of other hearts. ” — Leo Tolstoy I chose Newspaper because I've built a relationship with that medium and it felt comfortable to me ... the watercolor, as usual, a serene oasis. Choosing to use ball point pen in a manner that transforms it into something untethered, free & flowing... there is freedom in that.
