Superposition artistic This series of oil paintings are primarily created in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and contextualized with the quantum superposition, from quantum mechanics. One of the many sciences that give answers without any solution, like life. One of the largest is the entanglement of the particles, which can be in two states at the same time, representing this, is the famous paradox of Schrödinger's cat, it consists of a cat enclosed in a box, inside it there is a device that is activated by the disintegration of a subatomic particle. The particle has a percentage to disintegrate. Doing so, will release a toxin that will kill the cat, otherwise, the cat is still alive. This doubt will only come out when the particles are measured (the box is opened) following the Copenhagen interpretation, it is not that simple, since the main fact of measuring it will unleash a reaction in it that will alter its state, therefore the measurement will be causing that response. Putting the cat in two states, alive and dead at the same time in different and infinite ways. The pandemic that we are experiencing is like the paradox of the cat. A virus that does not show signs for a few days and with symptoms very similar to the flu or cold. This raises the question, am I infected with coronavirus? The only thing that will resorb that question is to take the test that is carried out in a hospital, where the probability of contagion increases, which can alter the result. The virus kills children, adults and the elderly, the possibility of being dead while alive in an infinite percentage of ways is possible.

Colombia
The goal of my work is to captivate and face the emotions that the human being avoids the most, such as fear, sadness, and pain. And to reconcile the being with these, to show the viewer that they are necessary to improve. Through my figurative oil painting, I show death, illness, loneliness, etc. I tell my experiences in Colombia from my childhood to my present, stories of the streets of the capital and towns hit by war around the country. With mostly warm and very unbranching colors, large lumps of paint on the skins, and very transparent layers on the background, often torn from the canvas. A high contrast, highlighting above all the darkness and thus taking the viewer out of his comfort zone to confront him with his fears. And as the only hope to transform those emotions there are small but strong traces of reflections, bursts of white that fall on the character or on the stage that emerges from the darkness.
