Together Print

This is an oil painting on canvas of my grand-daughter Mali with her aunt Lilli (my daughter). We are all at Poppit Sands in Pembrokeshire on a family holiday and determined to make the most of our holiday, Mali is still paddling despite the sun setting on the horizon! My models just happen (sometimes) to be my family. That way I get to say where and how they stand. In this case there's no posing - it just is what it is - young people enjoying the sun,sea and sand. I wanted the painting to convey a sense of a child's wonder, Lilli is pointing at the setting sun and Mali is following her gaze.
