Tomorrow Print

This painting was made in Ithaka, a beautiful island in Greece where I go as often as I can. It's looking down to Polis bay, which is where Ulysses set sail from to go on his 20 year adventure during the Trojan War and its aftermath. It's a very beautiful bay and full of history, and it makes you feel connected to the gods as well as the people who lived there many years ago. It makes you think of all the stories of Ulysses and the adventures he had on his voyage. I hope that viewers will feel a sense of promise - the title refers to the idea that ulysses is looking out over the bay, thinking that he will leave tomorrow. What adventures await him, will he came back the same person? I paint in oils because I love them, and this is the style I gravitate towards.
