ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Expressive work features a portrait of a cow in saturated colors and bold shapes. As the title implies it represents strong emotions that override sanity and judgment. It crossed my mind to name this one "COVID-19" but I didn't want it to be tied to this event only, even though it does describe the frenzy circling the globe in the time it was created. Instead, the title suggests wider experience of crisis.

Lara Ješe
Slovenia
Lara Ješe is a visual artist living and working in Kranj, Slovenia. She doesn’t stick to a particular style or a medium, but most of her production resides in figurative painting. Colder and darker tones from her earlier work with animal motifs have made way for increasingly saturated colours and strong, bold shapes. In 2016 she acquired her MFA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and also studied at the HGB Leipzig in Germany. She has exhibited in solo and group shows internationally, most notably in Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany, and the USA.
