ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Transformation of clear forms into the texture of the stone fragment material. A static, black rectangle attracts the viewer and shows a change in itself to an even bigger but unobtrusive linear white. Their combination forms a new unifying element. Each of us also has light and dark sides. We are different and often opposites are attracted. The balance for this is love. It helps in the search for harmony. Love erases the boundaries of sharp corners of self-expression of different temperaments. This work is about rethinking human nature, taming your self for the sake of feeling that you are loved. The other side of the picture warns us. A massive, sharp fragment symbolizes a complex relationship. Two separate golden elements are narcissistic egotists, cracks are constant conflicts. Intransigence, principledness turns us to stone and aggravates the relationship, which leads to collapse. The result is loneliness.
