"Aqua Marine" est une oeuvre inspirée par la couleur de la pierre semi-précieuse l'aigue marine. Sa couleur bleue si particulière évoque pour l'artiste les océans, la pureté de l'eau. Dès le Moyen-Age, elle est considérée comme une pierre de protection, un talisman qui devait protéger les marins des naufrages et de la noyade. On l'appelle aussi « joyau des sirènes ». Traditionnellement, l'aigue-marine est aussi considérée comme la pierre des amoureux, car sa couleur bleue est un symbole de fidélité.
