As an artist and critical thinker I’m captivated by the evolution of a subject, it’s current structure, it's past and it's future. In my current Foothill Works the paintings are the sum of their parts and loosely reflect a geological transformation of past to present. My paintings transform from simple sketch to complex visual organisms with distinct color and line to reflect structure and change. I refer to my art works as visual organisms as they rely on the interaction of each artistic element for their completion. Using bold line, vibrant color and transparency I layer the compositions searching for visually compelling art that engages the viewer and represents the subject in a bold visual art.
