ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration for this painting came from my experience of artist residency at the Cité Internationale Des Arts Paris. During those days I used to stroll along the Seine River, to Notre Dame, museums or cafés. I passed by this place at the beginning and end of my daily itinerary, hence the landscape has deeply etched in my memory. I have recalled those wonderful days countless times, and this painting is the crystal of those memories.

Ziyi Huang is an oil painter currently living and working in Hangzhou, China. His recent works are mainly landscapes, inspired by travels to Europe and the mountains. He received Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the China Academy of Art, where he is now studying for Doctoral degree. He entered an artist residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France. He is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), International Council of Visual Arts (ICVA), Association Sino-Française d'Échange d'Art (ASFEA), 90' Creative Art Society, Zhejiang Artists Association and Zhejiang Association of Oil Painters. His paintings have been exhibited in China, UK, France, Italy, Canada and Japan, and he has held solo exhibitions in Hangzhou and Xiamen, China.
