About The Artwork
This painting is inspired by the water slides and fun in the water. The Splash is its second title, given by a detail in the painting where we see a person at the end of the slide. There is a second reading of the painting (as always in my work) where the water represents our depth of soul or existence. It is at the same time an outward and an inward looking image. The brushstrokes are mostly visible. This work is colorful and will bright up any space; and hopefully will convey joy and excitement. She is founding member of the Gaidaro group which from 1999-2008 presented projects advocating for wide participation in the art practice and presentation.
