"Water lilies pond" (composition №4) All day blooming water lilies follow the movement of the Sun, turning in the direction of sun rays. An enchanting sight, I share Monet's passion for this nature's miracle. Acrylic paper and acrylic paints. Drawn with a plastic card and a crepe spreader as tools. The work is painted on a high-quality acrylic paper. Image size is 30x42 centimeters, that gives multiple options for framing.

Galina Khabarova is a contemporary abstract artist who lives and works in Stavropol, Russia. Born in Dushanbe (Tajikistan, then a part of the USSR) Galina was surrounded by art at an early age: her father took interest in metal stamping, wood carving, sculpture and photography, constantly inviting home his friends — local artisans and artists — to work together and discuss art. In the early 90’s, Galina moved with her parents to Russia, where her family settled in Stavropol. She was lucky to have a school and teachers who tried to give many new skills and strongly supported the passion for art in their pupils, teaching them new art techniques. After graduating from the Institute in 2004 with a degree in Advertising, Galina became a professional photographer, graphic designer and commercial illustrator. Galina’s interest in calligraphy, with special preference to the expressive calligraphy with a cola pen helped to develop confident firm strokes and the method of working with paint by rubbing it, determining her future painting style. In 2017,she started painting. Galina’s favorite technique is “rubbing” paint strokes into a dense multi-layer film, that creates a complex colorful pattern giving the finished painting a multi-dimensional depth and saturation, rhythm and direction, making the paint “glow” and the viewer’s eye unconsciously feeling movement. A favorite working tool is an ordinary plastic card. The artist also uses many other tools, both traditional (palette knife, brush) and unusual (pancake spreader). Galina actively takes part in exhibitions — local, national and international, and continues to develop and expand her artistic style constantly searching for new ways and methods of applying paint to different surfaces, while keep telling her story to viewers through the painting.
