ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was inspired during the holidays with my children in Fridrichskoog on the North Sea in Germany. It is a picture of freedom in the wild nature of the North Sea, although the omnipresence of the human hand is evident to the left in the distance.

A self-taught painter (my so far profession is civil engineering), fond of drawing from childhood. After failure to admit to the Academy of Fine Arts, I chose a University of Economy in Prague and two years later the Czech Technical University in Prague. For the next 15 years, I have been trying to earn enough money as a construction engineer to become a free painter. During this period I did not even paint painting at all. After reaching the age of 40, I found out that this will not work. So I try to limit my civil work and start painting again. I like searching for beauty in ordinary things. Among my favorite painters include Rembrandt, Monet and David Hockney.
