Having explored and experimented with abstraction for some years, I have more recently played with surreal and formal content in my paintings. Strange, amorphous doodles are 'worked up' into final pieces, for the viewer to interpret how they will. I am constantly surprised by what such juxtapositions evoke, coming from a primal, unconscious and mysterious part of my psyche. Based in Norwich, UK, Ben has participated in group and solo shows locally and in London.
