Where the Spring Rain Flows Down Print

During the pandemic, I take short walks at a nearby park that is always empty. There is a hilly area that has sprung up with a small plant paradise from water drainage. It is in the city, but due to the pandemic and high weed growth, it could pass for the country, depending where you stand. I took multiple photos and played with colors in photoshop to get ideas for this painting. I translated this into a sort of fantasy landscape where one could find a sort of refuge. I hope the viewer can pick up on some of this and enjoy the intensity of color and escapism in the work. I chose acrylic paint to take maximum advantage of fluorescence in the colors. By using the brightest colors, I'm seeking to give it a surreal, fantastic daydream quality.
