ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Reading about my Black African and Jamaican History, Culture and Meditating on some Real Bob Marley music while doing my Ulysses and Calypso painting Inspired me to create this Beautiful work of art depicting Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia from 1930-1974. I did not plan to do this painting it just turned out this way, While working on another of my paintings Titled Ulysses and Calypso I was just getting rid of the excess paint off my brushes when the Portrait started to appear, so I stopped from the painting Ulysses and Calypso and Started on the Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia Original name Tafari Makonen born July 23, 1892, near Harer, Ethiopia - died August 27, 1975, Emperor Selassie I is an Emperor who I Love and Admire Allot in History to now and I AM VERY VERY PROUD HE IS PART OF MY WHOLE History and Culture of Africa and Jamaica, I hope others will Respect the facts and Accept Black African and Jamaican History and Culture as Part of this world
