Now framed in a lightgrey shadow frame. The works from the vertical series developed from the examination of the natural area of the forest. The reduction is about the perception of the object and the space in between. Trees are reduced to vertical stripes, the pictorial space is formed by the arrangement of vertical stripes and the empty spaces in between. This artwork is painted with high quality artist oilcolors. It fits very well in modern facilities or public spaces. The artwork is painted in many layers, with a neon-colored underpainting the stripes shine through the layers. It is framed in a light gray floating frame and varnished. I am a freelance visual artist in painting and graphics and I live and work in Duisburg. The focus of my art lies in the elaboration of nature and landscapes developed from the study of certain landscape regions. I work in oil and acrylic on paper and canvas, as well as in the field of printmaking with the technique of monoprinting. In the implementation of my artworks, speed plays an important role, only a quick impulse and movement with the colour can make it visible what I have felt through my inner filter. My way of working cannot be planned, it develops during the painting process. Spontaneity and clarity are also important in my work. I have a great passion for the Nordic landscapes. that brings me back to my roots. In the recent years I made working trips to various Nordic countries such as Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, and the Faroe Islands. During the Trips I lived there in a camper van. This minimalistic kind of living bring me closer to nature and my feelings with a region. I painted outside and developed the first new artworks. I am looking for the core of a landscape. This can be a characteristic colour, a movement pattern, or an atmospheric sensation. Through the visibility of my traces of movement with the colour, I create a new perspective for the viewer. In times of increasing cultivation of landscape and climate change, the artistic engagement with this subject also has a documentary and political character. My art can be found in private collections in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Kasachstan, Great Britain, Switzerland, Island, Tainwan, New Sealand, Australia and USA.
