Art Description

Painting: Watercolor, Ink on Paper.

this was designed for a guy that was on vacation from barbados,he said that these crabs lived on the island...i knew nothing about them until i researched them on the internet....these things are massive!frightening, like out of a 1950s gamma radiation movie
the tattoo went along his forearm with the tail culminating on the elbow
when i tattoo,i have to think about the suitability of the canvas,so the tail wasn't very detailed, because it would have been lost on the coarse skin of the elbow, the skin itself added texture to the tattoo
this tattoo took about 6 or 7 hours as well, with the elbow being the final and most painful place.I took this into consideration also, not wanting the client to be in more pain than necessary
