If I had a mantra, it would be “keep curious”. My creative journey started in Wales at Swansea School of Art, Then on to Trent University. Ten days after graduating, I moved to New York to work as a designer and illustrator for a fashion forecasting and reportage company. The intention was to stay two years and return to the UK to do a post graduate in illustration. However 2 years turned into 30+ in New York and Philadelphia, where I worked in various illustration and editorial roles. As a design director, illustrator and consultant, I’ve aimed to combine accumulated knowledge with a trained eye and a thirst for discovery, always recording moments through sketches and paintings. Now, located in rural Ireland, painting is where the two worlds merge. A love of the natural world, weather and atmosphere feature in my landscape works. The design eye is also prevalent, particularly with pattern play. Inspirational sources are everywhere; from the glimpse of a view through a train window, to the cast shadows of a foliage.
