About The Artwork

IT IS an awesome sight to see a school of barracuda on a feeding frenzy. In this work, I am trying to capture that exhilarating moment ... the commotion, the hunter and the hunted...that sheer adrenalin rush performed by these underwater acrobatics. Crumpled paper and sand are added to create a three-dimensional feel. The use of swift brush strokes are deliberate to depict the sense of speed, agility and movement. Turquoise combined with different shades of blue forms the color palette for this underwater theme, and to create silhouette and depth to the overall experience. Please note that color accuracy may differ slightly as a result of the way different screens are calibrated.
