About The Artwork

I love to paint spontaneously and intuitively in this series, which i began at the end of year 2019. Every piece has the same size 50x70cm. I chose ink, acrylic, dry pigment which works perfectly on dó paper. ( This is an special paper made from the inner bark of the dó tree and traditionally produced by artisan in many villages in Vietnam.) In this series of works, I was seeking an unexpected result for every piece. It’s an intuitive play between control and be free… Hope it can provoke positive energies and hidden harmonies for viewers. This painting will be maroufled on canvas and streched into a wood frame, its READY TO HANG

" Gestures, traits in my paintings must be both present and absent." TAMHUY is a Vietnamese artist whose paintings have been featured in several exhibitions in France. His artworks are influenced by Buddhist philosophy, which includes the intrinsic concepts of karma, birth, death, and rebirth. For Nguyen, the artistic process is part of meditation, he listens inwardly then expresses himself through colors and musical brush strokes, which can be likened to gestural abstraction. He endeavors to create engaging pieces that are both present and absent at the same time. In 2017 Huy graduated with a degree in painting from Fine arts school of Versailles, in France.
