The Blue Favela 1 "Morro da Coroa, Rio de Janeiro." is an original painting on stretched canvas of 11"x 14". The medium is acrylic. "Favela" means shantytown in Portuguese. From within this extreme poverty, riches and treasures emerge. I’ve been told the police knew a drug-dealer was living in a blue house in this favela and they were waiting for the sunrise to catch the guy. Overnight all the resident of this favela painted their house blue. Is that true? Or is it simply the action of an ONG? Whatever the result is beautiful. The painting comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting is not framed. The edges are painted with Espresso Color. It is wired, ready to hang on the wall.
