About The Artwork

Pop art style Honda rally car racing through the Paraguayan dust in the Trans-chaco Rally. As you can see from my biog, I live in Paraguay, and a friend of mine is actually the driver of this car. The rich bright red soil of Paraguay and the vibrant lapacho trees in full bloom add to the excitement of a visual feast. Painted in Acrylics on a high quality canvas. I also paint bespoke portraits in this style. For more information please visit my website, www.jamieleeart.com.

Jamie is a British artist, currently based in southern Paraguay, South America. He went to Paraguay back in 2004 to brighten up a children's home with some murals, he loves the country so much he stayed and to date has painted more than 500 murals throughout the country. Through his mural painting process he honed his pop art style and sells his original painted canvases throughout the world via various online galleries and his personal website. He is also a vector illustrator and has sold more than 80,000 of his illustrations through Getty Images. His aim with his paintings is to create perfectly sharp lines, with minimal trace of brushstroke, almost vector-like in quality, onto stretched canvas. The key he says is to hold his breath for each line, in fact his wife says to buyers they're buying more than a painting, they're buying the breath from her husbands lungs. Each design is drawn by hand before painting - no software cheats. This gives a much smoother and more unique look to each piece.
