Arizona Brown is a series composed of works inspired by the untamed terrain of Arizona and the Southwest. Ochre-brown, in all its shades, reigns as the dominant color of the region. I find this hue communicates strength and determination. It's a color reminiscent of John Ford films, with his pipe and eye patch. A color that tastes of the Wild West and cowboys. Of snakes, boundless deserts, and wandering Indian poets. A salute to the Navajo tribes of the area.
