ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Artist' self portrait is a way to express an artist' true self and, it is also a way to reveal an artist' inner quality through his/her eyes, gesture, or outfit. About 18 years ago, I took several photography classes at a local college and on one of the classes, the instructor asked us to take a self portrait, that was the earliest self portrait I did. One day last year, when I looked at the old images of my self portrait, I realized that through the process of photographing and finalizing an image, it is a way to further exam, to further recognize, and to further explore myself as an artist! The work is signed and numbered. It is matted with museum quality archival acid free mat board and it is framed with black color, it's ready to hang.
