ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Night transforms the world into a dreamlike place, where familiar things become strange and unfamiliar things take on a surreal beauty. The darkness casts shadows and creates an atmosphere of mystery and uncertainty, leading us to question the reality of what we see. The stillness of the night amplifies every sound, giving us a sense of isolation and reminding us of the vastness of the universe. In this strange, quiet world, our imagination runs wild, and we can't help but feel that anything is possible. I styled, photographed and edited it. The edition is limited, signed and numbered print on Hahnemühle William Turner Paper I 310g/m2 Would you like to have it your way?! Other sizes/formats including framed prints are available, please contact Saatchi art directly for a quote.

In my artistic photographic work I deal with the subject of food and its influence on society. Two things have led me to devote myself to this subject: the visual aesthetics of food in all its forms and the complex issue of nutrition in society. In my work "there must be lights burining brigther" the eternal trying and then failing again was my theme. An example: you shouldn't eat at 6pm and yet you do. You drink healthy smoothies and still chain smoke. Seafood is bad, but you stuff yourself with a sushi platter from the discount store anyway. In my new work Room Service, I'm looking at comfort food and what happens to us when we order food from room service. What transformation we and the food experience. A croissant becomes a tea bag, at a pizza party we are suddenly different personalities. Behind a temporarily luxuriously closed door we can afford anything. My compositions are stylistically oriented towards the 70s and 80s. Design and fashion play as important a role in my paintings as food itself. I love to push boundaries and defy conventions. My work always has a twinkle in my eye. In addition to this subject matter, I also like to put flower crowns on farm animals. For me, this is a nice relaxation besides my work and I enjoy being with animals. I was born in Geneva in 1982 and have a master's degree in business administration. I am self-taught in photography and high-quality image retouching. Tina is represented by Visualeyes Artists and is a member of the Art Directors Club (ADC) Switzerland.
