Steven Robiner is an internationally acclaimed artist, award-winning producer, director, and visual effects supervisor. He supervised the visual effects and co-produced the first-ever film featuring the Marvel comic book superhero Silver Surfer®. Loaded with photo-realistic computer graphics of this human-like character and visual effects seamlessly integrated with live-action scenes, this ground-breaking production began in 1990, at a time before Hollywood had not yet produced any such realistic computer graphics films other than the inhuman water tentacle from James Cameron's The Abyss. Building on the glowing reviews and a set of awards for Silver Surfer, and following additional experience working on commercials and music videos, Robiner was soon scooped up by Hollywood where he quickly rose to prominence as the Senior Visual Effects Supervisor at Sony Pictures Studio's High Definition Center. He was selected by Sony & Director / Actor Bob Hoskins to be part of the core team of above-the-line designers on the first-ever, all digital motion picture, Rainbow, shot entirely in HD (High Definition), featuring Dan Aykroyd. Robiner continued his Visual Effects Supervision career on The Long Kiss Goodnight starring Geena Davis, and a number of other feature films, including Scarlett Johansson's first feature as an adult. Having served for over five years at Sony Pictures Studios, in 2000 Robiner moved on to producing and supervising independent projects, such as the comedy Damned If You Do starring David Alan Grier, which won the First Prize at the Hollywood International Film Festival as well as several other major festival prizes. After 17 years and numerous honors in the film industry, Steven Robiner chose to focus his career on his personal art, creating a diverse body of work spanning painting, photography, photo-surrealism and mixed-media projects culminating in a collective of prize-winning juried artwork. By 2006, he had amassed a significant track record as an award-winning artist, with multiple juried and invitational gallery shows to his credit. Most recently, his artwork was featured at several Art Exhibitions in Thailand, where some pieces remain on permanent display, while other works by Robiner are now available at a local upscale gallery in the 5-star resort district. "What is absolutely true is always correct, everywhere, all the time, under any condition.
