This joiner was shot at the same time as the Executive Jet and Executive Hanger joiners. This was actually the first of the three that I took as I'd just wandered out of the waiting room where I'd been waiting for my friend and this jet was parked right outside. It's a beautiful machine, a complete extravagance, but a beautiful piece of engineering. It was quite handy the Mercedes was parked next to the plane as it lends itself quite nicely to the composition of the joiner. **Special Note - Only the original will receive the artists signature as proof of authenticity** What is a 'joiner'? A joiner is a series of digital photos taken of a subject (landscape, person or item) which are digitally 'treated' and then arranged using computer software to create a large single digital photo. When printed the 'joiner' tends to be very large by virtue of it being made up of multiple full size photos (anything from 20-70 individual photos). Printing (prices available upon request): The buyer is able choose from the following printing materials: Canvas, Fabric and PolyCril. - Canvas - Artex Canvas is a high-end light weight, extremely strong and flexible canvas substrate. The material is easy and beautiful to print on using solvent, eco-solvent, UV, Latex or screen printing. - PolyCril - A canvas-ish texture which gives a soft, non-reflective quality for premium feel, it's made from non-PVC materials which means it is 100% recyclable and an ideal environmentally friendly solution. - Fabric - a range of different polyester fabrics printed with dye sublimated inks, from display fabrics to fine voile. Dye sublimation printing embeds the ink into the fibres of the weave becoming part of the material. This process allows the fabric to remain soft and flexible. Mounting options (prices available upon request): FabriFrame - is a revolutionary fabric tension system which is so versatile the creative possibilities are huge. It can be mounted onto walls, doors or ceilings with a fabric graphic applied to the face, or be a free standing unit or partition wall. The system is created from a lightweight aluminium frame which can be fitted on-site either by my installation team or, depending on size, sent as a flat pack unit for self assembly. The frames comes in a variety of profile depths ranging from 20mm to 100mm, with the ability to be cut and finished to create almost any shape you can imagine. FabriGrab - An incredible fabric tension system which effectively replaces the need for full wall coverings in vinyl or wallpaper, eliminating any seams or damage to the wall behind. The slim extrusion creates a narrow gap between the wall and fabric to create a smooth fabric finish. The super slimline FabriGrabâ„¢ frame attaches neatly to the wall, around windows, doors, sockets and switches. Influences: We each are influenced by the world and people around us, and as such the decisions and choices we make can be steered dependent on how strong the given influence is. When working on and compiling a joiner I generally listen to music, and as such I believe the music can have a bearing on the finished article. To this end to fully enjoy and enter into the same state of mind as that when the joiner was created I recommend listening to the the following track: Track: To Get Down. Artist: Timo Maas

Almost an award winning artist who pioneers a 'joining' technique to build large photographic montages/collages capturing and depicting some of the most recognisable locations in his hometown of London, UK. Born in the Leicester, an area in the centre of England, however he was raised and grew up around the fringes of London in Kent and later in south west London where he currently lives with his wife and two children. The 'joiner' technique is an evolution of the one David Hockney pioneered in the 80's, however this has been brought into the modern era utilising digital cameras and computer software. Self taught, and proud of the fact, the creativity and technique has formed unconstrained by any college or institution. Inspiration is drawn from the world and people around him, his passion as he goes about creating his joiners see him going to some extraordinary lengths to capture his subject, including almost getting arrested outside Buckingham Palace. His enthusiasm for his work is infectious and immediately apparent when talking about joiners, particularly as he continues to build his body of work. He commented in a recent interview: "having access to some of the most recognisable monuments and buildings in the world right on my doorstep, and being able to photograph and show them in a way which has never been seen before is just fantastic! Being able to tell a story and a narrative with a single joiner is so incredibly gratifying. My joiners are precious to me, in a way like children; I usually spend a long time thinking about them, planning and researching them before I ever get my camera out of the bag. Then, when I'm on location I'll often spend hours, sometimes days to get just the right vantage point and light, and that's only half the story. The truly exciting part, the bit which gets my pulse racing is when I'm in front of my computer with a clean canvas and I start to piece the joiner together. The feeling as it starts to slowly come together, as it starts to form and emerge on screen is just so exciting! Each joiner lives somewhere between a still image and a video, in that due to the time it takes to shoot the scene/monument/subject matter, time passes, earlier elements of the scene move forward in time and so exist as an evolution and step forward from the last images which were shot.
