ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In the heart of Namibia I spend two months researching and photographing a naive population of chacma baboons. The baboons saw observers as just another part of the landscape enabling intimate and close interactions with the individual baboons, of which I learnt to distinguish from each other. Each baboon had a different personality and in my photography I tried to capture this. Some were more wary and cautious, while others like this young male were very inquisitive.
