A billboard and a camera, both with their eyes on you. Shadows obscure color. This series attempts to shed light and reveal the subtle gradations of color within the shadows of the post-9/11 security apparatus in New York City. This is a visual investigation of the physical implications of changes in law enforcement and intelligence policy since the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001 in New York City. It explores the overt and covert landscape of counter-terrorism in America's largest city, while alluding to larger trends in policing that are the subject of contemporary national debate. Limited edition print of 4 numbered and signed on back by artist. 16" x 20" photo on paper. 2015. Not framed.
