I have always had a love for art, right from a very young age. At secondary school I did Higher Art and in 1982 went to Hounslow College in Middlesex to study Graphic Design and Advertising, and then returned to Dundee in Scotland my home town, now famous for the V&A Museum. On leaving college I worked for a number of graphic design companies and in 2001 I started my own graphic design business in Kinross. Since 2000 I have started to paint in oils and I have really enjoyed it. My two art heros are Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne and it is the style of Cezanne that has been a major influence on my recent work. I have recently been inspired by the works of Pablo Picasso in particular his interpretation of the female form, as a contemporary art form. I enjoy painting and creating new works it brings much pleasure. I also enjoy experimenting with paint and exploring new styles.
