ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Flaming Circles is an abstract and photographic artwork that explores the relationship between light and shadow, shape and color, order and chaos. This image is the result of an experiment that I conducted by photographing the tower of a cathedral at night, using a technique of intentional blurring that turned the lights into red circles on a black background. The effect is impressive and intriguing, creating a sensation of movement and energy. This work is an expression of my artistic vision and my search for new ways of capturing the beauty of the world. I wanted to create an image that challenged the viewer’s perception and invited personal interpretation. Each red circle can represent a different element, such as fire, blood, passion, danger or power. The arrangement of the circles in a pyramid shape can suggest an idea of hierarchy, stability, history or mystery. The image is a combination of reality and fantasy, of concrete and abstract, of harmony and destruction.
