Lola Mitchell is a fine art photographer. She utilizes textures and digital painting to create stories through images. She was born in Paris France and has been living in the US since 1999, Los Angeles since 2001. Her father was a fashion and theater photographer (Jorge Damonte), and her mother was a contemporary dancer (Marcia Moretto), they were both from Argentina. She grew up between a darkroom and a stage and surrounded by people from all parts of the world. Heavy manipulations through digital editing and movement are elements found in all her work. She loves showing the unique and timeless beauty of women through the creation of images. Her work can be described as surreal or ethereal. Mitchell now shoots mainly underwater. She finds it widely inspiring and will keep having a body of work that has both over and underwater creations. She speaks 4 languages (French, Spanish, Italian and English) and hopes to learn Japanese someday.
